India after winning a game against Afghanistan, decided to experiment with spin attack against South Africa. Surprisingly Dhoni dropped experienced Zaheer Khan and included Piyush Chawla in playing XI. Dinesh Karthik was preferred as Gambhir’s replacement who had a diarrhea and was left out. But the day belonged to Suresh Raina he scored his first T20 international hundred. It was the third T20 hundred in all and first by an Indian. Other two hundred’s are scored by Gayle and Mcullum.
After initial sputter Raina was at his destructive best. He along with Yuvraj put India in commendable position. In 18th over bowled by Kleinveldt, Raina and Yusuf Pathan scored 25 runs and Dhoni’s big hitting in the end propelled India beyond 180.
South Africa had a slow start to their inning. At the end of 10 overs they were 57-1 and needed 130 in next 10. But with wickets in hand and depth in batting line-up they fancied their chances but Kallis and Smith left too much to score for incoming batsmen which was not going to be easy. Eventually India won by 14 runs.

The good point is…. Raina and Yuvi built the inning after early loss of Vijay and Kartik. Good sign for India as Yuvi also looked in good touch leaving behind his nightmares in IPL.
