IPL Living up to Expectations

60097044 A day ago it seemed that the first 4 teams were clearly visible and there would be no thrill left. Now, as the IPL progresses things are getting better and better for the fans. Mumbai has been in supreme form right throughout the tournament and should not have any problem in making it to the semis.

Though Delhi is in comfortable position, there is a tough fight for next three slots. Chennai is peaking at the right moment and Rajasthan is magically turning it around. Bangalore on the other hand had a dream run at start but have had a few glitches in the last few matches. Hyderabad is on the verge of getting out of tournament and Punjab are going to be party poppers for some.

It is going to be very interesting to see what happens and this is what every cricket lover wants.You don’t want to see matches knowing that the result is not going to matter much. You want the drama and tension to be there right till the last moment.

The last IPL final was a perfect example of the uncertainty that cricket and especially IPL has. This is what keeps the players on their feet and viewers glued to the TV. The IPL has got more and more interesting with foreign players coming in to boost their respective sides. This in fact has become a bit of a worry for the captains when it comes to the team selection and composition.

Mumbai and Delhi are relatively safe at the top of points table with the advantage of good net run rates. On the other hand Bangalore has played only 9 games to RR’s 11. Chennai and Kolkata are on 10 points each but Chennai has a much better net run rate which matters a lot at the end. So it’s going to be a tough call now and what we have seen is that form doesn’t matter much. It is the team that performs well on that particular day that wins.

I am betting my money on Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore to make it to the semis. But, you never know what the Pandora’s Box has got to offer. Cheers to IPL!!!
